In 1902, a young Kansas blacksmith apprentice named Hoyt Buck was searching for a better way to temper steel to prolong its edge. He developed a unique approach, which led to the creation of the first Buck Knife. Using worn-out file blades as raw material, Hoyt handcrafted each knife. During World War II, his handiwork was highly valued.

After completing his navy service, Hoyt's eldest son, Al, moved from the Pacific Northwest to San Diego, California. In 1945, Hoyt and his wife, Daisy, joined Al and his young family, and they established H.H. Buck and Son. Following his father's death, Al continued the custom knife business until incorporating Buck Knives, Inc. in 1961. He involved his son, Chuck, in the knife business at a young age, and both Chuck and his wife, Lori, participated in the company's incorporation.

In 1964, Buck Knives revolutionized the industry with the introduction of the Model 110 Folding Hunter, solidifying their position as a leader in the field. Chuck served as the President and CEO for many years before passing the reins to his son, CJ, in 1999. Chuck remained active as Chairman of the Board until his passing in 2015. Lori currently serves on the Board of Directors and is actively engaged in Buck promotional events across the U.S., continuing Chuck's legacy.

The Flexible Fillet Blade is a 9" (23cm) titanium-coated 5Cr15MOV steel blade that can be easily sharpened, delivering excellent corrosion resistance, edge retention, and strength. The overall length of the blade is 14.45" (36.7cm), weighing 4.4 oz (36.7cm). The knife features an anti-slip grip with an ergonomically shaped rubberized handle for a positive grip in wet or slippery conditions. Additionally, the knife comes with an injection-molded sheath with an integrated belt loop for safe and easy carrying.

Buck Knives has stood by the integrity of their products since 1902, offering a lifetime warranty on their knives.
